Shelita, the founder of Just Rock Enterprises, launched BYOB Wine and Cupcakes as a way for women entrepreneurs—both aspiring and established—to connect with like-minded individuals. Just Rock, a music lesson company based in the DMV area, focuses on building confidence through creative music experiences. With over 14 years of experience working with all ages and various institutions—from schools and government agencies (like the Department of Parks and Recreation, Office of Aging, and Youth Services Center) to healthcare organizations including Children’s National Hospital—Shelita brings a wealth of expertise to the table.

Shelita is CBE certified and was featured on ABC News for successfully pivoting her business during the COVID pandemic. Over the years, BYOB Wine and Cupcakes has evolved into a platform to inspire and teach women from Shelita’s published book, helping them start their own businesses.

Now, with Just Rock locations in the DMV and Houston, Shelita is excited to transition BYOB Wine and Cupcakes into BYOB Consulting—a 4-week program designed to provide the tools and resources needed to launch a business on a limited budget. This approach aligns with Shelita’s own entrepreneurial journey and her mission to empower others.

At the end of the program, participants will even have the chance to use Just Rock’s space for 90 minutes to officially launch their business!
